COFCO Wine Division Acquired French Chateau Release Time : 2012-03-20

COFCO Wine Division signed the agreement with Viaud Chateau located in France’s Bordeaux on February 16, 2011, closing the deal to acquire the latter, another move following acquiring Chile’s Bisquertt Chateau. This means that Great Wall wine is further picking up the pace of strategic globalization.

Viaud Chateau was built in the middle of 15th century, winning time-honored reputation. Its dry red wine achieved gold prizes in many international competitions. It has geographic advantages and heritages of brewing and marketing experience.

Great Wall wine is the only Chinese wine brand penetrating into premium growing areas in the traditional market, the new market and the oriental market through acquisition, paving the way to growing into the top world-class brand.
