COFCO Completed Tianjin Grain and Oil Project Phase I

COFCO held the ceremony for the phase I of its grain and oil project in Tianjin put to product on August 12, 2011.

The project is seen as COFCO's important base integrating grain and oil processing, storage and logistics. It covers 300,000 square meters. The total investment is RMB 4 billion. It completed construction of 100,000 ton capacity quays, 120,000 ton capacity silos, 100,000 ton capacity oil tanks, 4,000 ton daily capacity oilseed crushing plants and supporting equipment and facilities. It is able to process 1.32 million tons of grain raw materials, manufacture 1.02 million tons of pallets and meal, and produce 240,000 tons of crude oil.

It is COFCO's another significant move in completing the strategic layout and industry chain. It made COFCO's oil and fat processing capacity exceed 10 million tons, reaching the world class. It strengthened COFCO's competitiveness and sharpned the cutting edge of the agri-product processing industry in North China. The grain and oil supply for Beijing, Tianjin and the neighborhood was enhanced. It is instrumental to safeguard grain and oil security.
