On April 19, 2005 COFCO and the Industry and Commercial Bank of China signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement in Beijing. The contract stipulates that ICBC will provide COFCO with discount financial services, including savings and money management plus comprehensive credit and financing. In addition, the bank will set up ten bank sites for agency sales of insurance products of Aviva-COFCO Life Insurance Co., Ltd., in which COFCO owns stock.
