Mr. Wan Zaotian, vice president and member of Party Leadership Group of COFCO, met with managing director Peter Freedman of the Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) at Fulinmen Mansion on March 27. The two parties discussed CGF’s new plan of development in the world and Asia as well as its implementation plan.

Founded in 2000, the Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) is a collaboration platform made up of senior executives from the world’s leading food manufacturers, retailers, and food service companies, as well as service providers associated with the food supply chain. As an independent non-profit international organization, the Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) enjoys immense resources in the consumer goods industry and brings together the CEOs and senior management of some 650 manufacturers, retailers, service providers and stakeholders across 70 countries. Famous food manufacturers and retailers such as Nestle, Danone, Cargill, McDonald’.s, Walmart, Metro, and Coca Cola are members of the Consumer Goods Forum (CGF).

COFCO, which officially joined the Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) in June 2011, is a board member of Global Food Safety Initiative facilitated by the CGF.
