“Soliva” brand olive oil, produced by the East Oil Grain & Oil Industries, Ltd., a COFCO company, has formally gone on the market in the cities of Beijing and Shanghai and the provinces of Guangzhou, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Fujian, breaking the deadlock held by foreign brands in the Chinese market for olive oil.
“Soliva” brand olive oil is the second brand of high-grade vegetable oil put out by a COFCO company, following on the heels of “Zicai.” The new olive oil comes in two grades, Extra Virgin and Virgin, and four packaging options, 250ml, 500ml and 1L bottles and deluxe pack of two 500ml bottles.
Olive oil, often known as “liquid gold,” has a unique flavor, is full of nutrition and is said to protect coronary arteries. Studies conducted by well-known domestic and international research institutes such as the European Association for the Gastrointestinal Tract and Nutrition and the German Minsk Institute indicate that olive oil contains a slew of beneficial components, including vitamins A, C, D and K, calcium, magnesium, zinc and squalene, which makes it effective in preventing arteriosclerosis, diabetes, osteoporosis and cancer.
