On the morning of June 2, 2005, the Beijing Grain Professional Association, Beijing Market Association and Beijing Quality Testing Association announced their selection of the first group of 13 products to be named as "Worry-free Edible Oil." Three grades of Fortune soybean oil and pure rapeseed oil, products of North Sea Grains and Oils Industries (Tianjin), a COFCO company, were included on the list. Luhua peanut oil, pure peanut oil and fragrant peanut oil, products of the Shandong Laiyang Luhua Fragrant Peanut Oil Co., Inc., in which COFCO is a major investor, were also on the list.
The 13 "Worry-free Edible Oil" products were all judged to be "Famous Chinese Brand Name Products" by the China Promotion Council for Top Brand Strategy as well as "Worry-free Vegetable Oil" products by the China National Association of Grain Sectors.
